Las Vegas’ Best Winter Yellowstone Tour, plus Bryce Canyon and Zion

Tour ID

319

Price

$1995.00 per person

You get to tour three of the most popular parks in the country on this winter Yellowstone tour from Las Vegas!

Departing Las Vegas, you will travel through Nevada and into a small section of Arizona known as the Arizona Strip. There will be a stop for pictures in the Strip, at the Virgin River Gorge, before continuing up the Gorge to St. George for a comfort stop.

We’ll tour through Zion, starting at the south entrance, and traveling to the east entrance, stopping frequently to take pictures and admire the views.

There are four main viewpoints at Bryce, and we’ll take in all four, snow conditions permitting. Bryce is really a spectacular park, and the hoodoos are likely to take your breath away! Depending on the number of people in the group, you will either now fly to Salt Lake City in a twin engine jet, or travel by road.

Whatever happens you will spend the night in a good hotel in downtown Salt Lake, not too far from Temple Square. Tomorrow you will travel through northern Utah and into Idaho, before traversing the Targhee National Forest, through Island Park and into Montana and West Yellowstone, which borders Yellowstone National Park.

There will be a short break in West Yellowstone to enable you to visit the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center (included in the tour price). You will then head north out of town, passing through a small section of Yellowstone which is separated from the rest of the park by a small mountain range. This part of the park is the best chance we have of seeing moose on the tour.

Our path takes us to Bozeman and we’ll spend the night there or in Livingston. Tomorrow we’ll make our way to Yellowstone’s north entrance and the wildlife portion of this tour   Please take a look at the Lamar Valley Wildlife part of your tour in a lot more detail.

After visiting the northeast part of Yellowstone and checking out the wildlife there on day three, you will return to West Yellowstone, where you will spend the next two nights.

On the fourth day of your tour, you will enjoy the Old Faithful trip, either by snowcoach or snowmobile. This will take you through Yellowstone’s main geyser basins to the Upper Geyser Basin.  Please check out the Old Faithful And Upper Geyser Basin portion of your tour in more detail.

Day five sees you heading out to Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, an unexpected treat in this winter wonderland of thermal features! You’ll once again travel by snowcoach or snowmobile, making your way north on the lower loop, past Gibbon Falls and Norris Geyser Basin, to Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.  Please take a look at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone part of your tour in a lot more detail.

You will stay the night in West Yellowstone again, and start your return trip to Salt Lake in the morning, traveling once again through Idaho and back into Utah, with the tour ending in Salt Lake City.  There is the option of a flight back to Vegas, instead of ending the tour in Salt Lake.

This tour picks up at most major Las Vegas Strip hotels. If there are fewer than six people on tour, not just in your group, day two of the tour may start at the Salt Lake City airport, with a free shuttle from your hotel. If there are fewer than six people, the tour may end at the Salt Lake airport and a central downtown location near Temple Square.

If there are fewer than six people on the tour, not in your group, a shuttle may take you from Salt Lake to Idaho Falls on day two, where one of our guides will meet you in a tour vehicle, and bring you to West Yellowstone. Similarly on the way back, instead of spending the last night in West Yellowstone, your guide may drop you off at a hotel in Rexburg, Idaho, where you will stay the night. The next morning there are several different shuttle departure times, to return you to Salt Lake City.

In both of the above cases, there is the option of a flight back to Vegas, instead of ending the tour in Salt Lake.

This is a small group tour.
