All Of Yellowstone Tour From Denver In Just 72 Hours!

Tour ID

 362

You have an early start on the first day, as you need to catch a flight from the Denver airport, where the tour starts, to Salt Lake. You can be back in Salt Lake, where the tour ends, just 72 hours after leaving Denver! It includes three nights’ lodging, full upper loop and lower loop tours, and the shuttle to and from Salt Lake City. You have multiple options for the departure after your third night stay, enabling you to be back in Salt Lake as early as 6:40 am on the fourth day.

With any luck, you should be able to grab a bite of breakfast after you land at the Salt Lake airport, before taking a shuttle, which makes several stops along the way, to West Yellowstone. Please remember that your driver today is not a guide, and that this is an unescorted leg of your tour. You will be dropped off at West Yellowstone Lodge to check-in and then are free to wander West Yellowstone, taking advantage of all the stores, the IMAX theater, and the Grizzly And Wolf Discovery Center, where you are guaranteed to see grizzly bears, wolves and otters!

On day two you’ll do the lower loop trip, offering a guided tour of much of Yellowstone’s geothermal areas, while still providing great wildlife viewing opportunities along the rivers and in Hayden Valley. You will take the time to watch Old Faithful erupt, explore the historic Old Faithful Inn and wander the boardwalks of the Lower, Midway and Upper Geyser Basins checking out all four kinds of thermal features present in the park. You will then go to West Thumb on Yellowstone Lake, up through Hayden Valley and on to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone where you will stop at both the Upper and Lower Yellowstone Falls, before returning to West Yellowstone. A sack lunch is once again provided today. Please view the entire lower loop itinerary.

On the third day you get to experience the full Yellowstone upper loop tour, which includes a guide offering insights on the geology, latest park updates and ecological studies. You will experience waterfalls, walks around geothermal features, take in the historic park headquarters, and wildlife viewing in the Lamar Valley – often called “America’s Serengeti” – due to the abundance of wildlife such as bison, pronghorn, elk, and depending on the season and time of day, bears or even wolves. A sack lunch is provided today. Please view the entire upper loop itinerary.

Once you return from your upper loop tour, you will be free to wander town briefly until your shuttle picks you up at 6 pm, to take you to your hotel in East Idaho. Please remember that the shuttle driver is not a guide and that this is an unescorted leg of your tour.

In the morning you will catch the shuttle back to Salt Lake City. It will pick you up at your hotel, make several stops along the way, and drop you off either at a central downtown location near Temple Square, or at the Salt Lake City Airport. Please let us know which of the below departure times to book you for in the comments area.
